Jeff Kerber - Owner/President

Jeff Kerber is not only a business leader; he personifies the excellence and hard work that continues to propel his company to new heights in the highly competitive world of pool remodeling. From his early teens, Jeff's experience within the pool industry - including promotions as a foreman while only eighteen years of age - remains legendary. By the time he was 30, Jeff and his uncle became principals in their own enterprise, until, in 1989, Jeff wholly redefined this category once again. With the creation of Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering, Inc., corporate and residential clients soon enjoyed the same exceptional service and personal courtesy that have made - and continue to make - this company such a breakthrough success.

Jeff also designed the current aim flow used by all builders and remodelers, addressing problems that had plagued contractors for years. He did the same for main drain covers, eliminating potential injuries to swimmers. Jeff's innovative design for double-purposing pipe fittings was further applied by major manufacturers, cutting that industry's required inventory by 50% and saving millions of dollars. He even developed an additive for blended cement, trademarked Kerber Shield, which improves the plaster products used in swimming pools.

A professional of undeniable influence and individual humility, Jeff Kerber continues to inspire staff and clients throughout Southern California.

Mark Kerber - Technical Consultant

Jeff Kerber's brother, Mark Kerber, 49, is a seasoned professional within the pool industry. An integral part of the company and an in-house consultant, he has truly mastered all aspects of this business, from Demo to Plaster. His experience, counsel and wisdom naturally complement Jeff's leadership skills. Together, they further the success and support of this business.

Mike Yeakel - Operations Manager

Mike, 43, has a rich Hollywood lineage: his mother, an acclaimed actress, played Consuelo on Marcus Welby, M.D., and socialized with the famous Rat Pack.  For those of you under 40, the Rat Pack was an elite group of entertainers led by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. Mike grew up spending weekends at Frank Sinatra's home in Palm Springs, where he developed an interest in gourmet cooking.

Mike also starred in several commercials as a youngster, including spots for Jack in the Box, Ragu Spaghetti and many other products.  And yet, he found even greater success in construction, following the example set by his stepfather.

By the age of 7, Mike was working on job sites learning the cement trade.  He has worked in every phase of building construction, having brought this expertise to Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering Inc., vastly improved the work product of our cement decking, staining and stamping division and has now broadened his focus to encompass all divisions within our company.

Arnulfo Lupercio - Demo Supervisor

[Demo is the processing of removing the top layers of plaster from inside a swimming pool using hand and power tools.   The Demo Crews also remove tile, coping and decking.]

Arnulfo, 42, the proud father of two teenagers, began working at Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering, Inc., in 1990 as a laborer on a crew demolishing pools.  He soon rose in the ranks, and became a Foreman of his crew and then the Supervisor of the entire department.  His intense work ethic is at the very heart of his success in this industry. Prior to joining the company, Arnulfo worked in the construction industry helping to build residential homes.  He also previously worked for Cal Spas in Shipping and Receiving.

Dale Gillette - Plumbing/Electrical Supervisor

Dale Gillette began his plumbing career at the age of 17 working for Thompson Pools and grew up with the industry. Since then he has worked as a hands-on Plumbing Supervisor with many of the major pool builders. There hasn’t been anything invented in the pool plumbing business that Dale hasn’t experienced and become the “go-to” expert. We are fortunate to have Dale as part of the Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering team.

Martin Rodriguez - Masonry Supervisor

With extensive experience in the construction and landscaping business, Martin Rodriguez, 42, is the Masonry Supervisor for Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering, Inc.

Martin expanded this fledgling department into a busy division of 75 skilled craftsmen, producing some of the best tiling and masonry work in the industry. Martin is always seeking new materials and techniques to further improve the appearance and durability of our products.  With an eye for detail, Martin leads an exceptional team of accomplished craftsmen.

Alex Sanchez - Plaster Supervisor

[Plastering or Pebbling a pool is the application of a special cement compound to the interior surface of the pool or spa.]

Alex, 40, is a longtime veteran of Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering, Inc., having joined the company at its inception in 1989.  He was one of the first employees personally selected by Jeff Kerber himself.   He began his career as a mixer, and advanced to  pool plastering, a highly skilled job that takes from one to two years of intense training.  Alex was soon recognized for his dedication and professional skills, and rose to become the Supervisor of that division.
